Resolve Partners with MATClinics to Address Opioid Addiction Crisis

The PRP provider delivers comprehensive program to Maryland treatment centers.

Lanham, Md., March 22, 2019 – Resolve Community Health announced today that the mental health service provider has partnered with MATClinics to deliver its In-House Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) to patients struggling with opioid addiction.

Drug addiction continues to be a growing problem in American society, and the state of Maryland is no exception. In a recent report released by the Maryland Department of Health, more than 1,600 opioid-related deaths occurred in Maryland. Of those deaths, more than half, 874, occurred in either Baltimore County or Baltimore City.

“We understand the mental and personal challenges individuals face when struggling to overcome an addiction,” said Yvette Housen, Resolve president. “Our partnership with MATClinics is designed to provide these patients with a holistic approach to overcoming addiction by helping them understand their illness, deal with the emotional aspects of addiction, and better manage their lives as they recover.”

MATClinics are specialized opioid treatment facilities that help individuals recover from opioid addiction through Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT), which combines prescription medication treatment with behavioral therapy. MAT is designed to ween individuals off of opioid pain medicine such as Codeine, Percocet, Vicodin, OxyContin, Hydrocodone and Demerol, as well as street drugs like heroin and fentanyl.

MATClinics operates treatment facilities in Towson, Laurel, and Dundalk, Md.  Resolve will deliver comprehensive PRP services at the Dundalk location that will entail:

  • Comprehensive Client Assessments;
  • Collaboration with Medical and Psychiatric Staff;
  • Client Orientation;
  • Mental Health Treatment Recommendation;
  • Development of an Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP);
  • Individual and Group Life Skills Training; and
  • On-going Client Monitoring & Evaluation.

Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Resolve provides PRP services through several channels, including a Day Program at its facility in Lanham, Md, an In-House PRP Program for skilled nursing and medical facilities, and onsite PRP services for clients who prefer to receive sessions in a private setting.
